Generate a strong, separate password for every account
Password Generator creates values from 8 to 64 characters and draws random choices from the browser's cryptographically secure crypto.getRandomValues source. Uppercase, lowercase, number and symbol pools can be toggled independently, and the result includes at least one character from every selected pool.
The similar-character option removes easily confused letters and digits such as I, l, O, 0 and 1 from the relevant pools. Generation stays on the device, but the password remains most useful when it is never reused and is stored in a trusted password manager.
Practical checklist
- Choose the longest practical length and all character types accepted by the account; disable a pool only when that service rejects it.
- Enable the similar-character filter for a Wi-Fi label or temporary code that someone must read and type manually.
- Generate a fresh value for each service and save it in a password manager, because reuse lets one breach expose multiple accounts.
