Prepare a DOCX document as a shareable PDF
Word to PDF accepts one modern .docx document and creates a PDF through the server's office conversion engine. Legacy .doc files are not accepted directly, so save them as .docx in Word or another compatible editor first.
A PDF provides a fixed page view, but custom fonts, complex tables, floating text boxes and dynamic fields may render differently outside the application that authored them. Compare the download with the source, paying particular attention to page breaks and clipped content.
Practical checklist
- Set tracked changes and comment display to the state you want before upload, because the converter works from the document it receives.
- Common fonts and simpler object positioning tend to produce more consistent pages across different office rendering engines.
- If a heading, table or signature block moves to another page, correct the break in the DOCX and convert again rather than editing the generated PDF.
